The Talk of the Town
This movie is playing this Sunday, 1/13 on TCM. I will probably be watching football, so I'll miss it then. However, it plays again on Feb 26th at 8 pm EST on TCM....until then, Ronald Colman.
I did see Talk of the Town last night. I am still intrigued by Ronald Colman - he plays such a sophisticated gentleman that his insertion in this comedy went pretty well, I thought. Love Cary Grant no matter what. I laughed out loud quite a lot during the movie, however, something in the mid-later part of the movie got lost for me. I completely lost track of the turn of the plot. It started to drag and I actually fell asleep for a few seconds. Jean Arthur had some comedic talent, but she is no Irene Dunne. Talk of the Town started out fine and interesting - but fizzles in the last 45 minutes. I still want to see more Ronald Colman - however! His earlier movies, to be exact.

I saw this movie today, but missed the very beginning.
You have a dashing Ronald Colman and a handsome Cary Grant and I couldn't tell which one Jean Arthur would end up with.
I made a guess and I guessed wrong. Watch it on February 26th and see which one you choose.
Reminder: Talk of the Town is playing Tuesday, Feb 26th on Turner Classic Movies at 8 pm - EST
Don't miss it !
